Some very happy news

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

Every since I came to Christ I have been wanting to learn how to preach and teach in Christ’s name and to that end I have taken my family and myself to different fellowships with may different families that are in Christ. We love to fellowship and learn more about the kingdom of our Lord and one of the things I have been looking for is mature Christians that can teach others to lead. However we didn’t find any that had that blessing in them, so I turned to God to help we and I prayed and waited and looked.

Now here is I believe the hand of God at work, I had been praying and asking God to help me and on my birthday I went into town to get the mail and our regular town trip stuff. I picked up the mail and saw a letter in it from an outfit down in the USA asking for money for some kind of Christian training institute. I didn’t think to much about it as some how we seem to have gotten on the mailing list for this kind of thing. But once we got home I had another look at it and saw there was a website so I decided to check it out. What I found made me very excited so my wife had a look to see what see thought. We had found the Christian Leaders Institute and they train Christians to be godly leaders to carry out Christ’s work. I thought about it as I went over their different courses and read the founders book on home discipleship. I learned that he really tries to encourages the father to take the headship of his home by firstĀ  having a strong personal walk with Christ then lead his family in Christ and reach out and be a strong Christian leader in his community.

I was a very happy man to find other Christians that wanted to equip leaders to go out and work for Christ. I have often thought that Paul was a very well trained leader before Jesus Christ called him to do the work he did. I really wanted to get some leadership training before I step out into the the bigger body of Christ and the world. Now I have been given a full scholarship to take training, what a wonderful birthday present God has given me. I will try to keep up to date posts of the course as I go along, but keeping praying God takes care of his children all I had to do was put my heart with his.

Gods little blessings

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I have been wanting to post here for some time now on some of the ways in which God has and is changing my life, he has really transformed it. I should have knowing he would do this for he tells us so in the bible, at first I wasn’t sure how he would do it. I now know he makes use of everything and anything to open my eyes to the fact that he loves me and that I love him. One of the ways he is changing me is through my children I think of my girls as Gods little helpers. I believe that God teaches us about himself and how he wants us to live and deal with others around us in much the same way a parent teachs their children. After all God is the first parent and as with all loving parents he loves his children and ours more then we will ever know. I think of God as my Heavenly Father and I long for him to reveal himself to me, and it never ceases to amaze me in all the ways he does it, if only I keep my eye on him. I thank God in Jesus for the little blessings he has given me to parent and to try to be more like Jesus each day, God sets a very good witness, all we have to do is follow.

A Blessing from our heavenly Father

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

I’m always in awe of all the wonders God has given his children, flowers are truly one of the most amazing ways that God has created to produce seeds. Man in all his science and knowledge has never be able to come even close, we can only copy an image of this most beautiful gift from our loving Father.
